Introduction & Background of OSSEDI Malawi
Organisation for Sustainable Socio-Economic Development Initiative (OSSEDI Malawi) was established on 26th May, 2004 and registered with the Government of Malawi under incorporation act in the 1962 by-laws of Malawi. The Organization is a local Development and Humanitarian Non-Governmental Organization registered with all the relevant bodies in Malawi like the Government of Malawi Trustees of Incorporation Registration Number: 2309/305, and also registered with the NGO Regulatory Authority (NGORA) Registration Number: NGO/L/14/046. OSSEDI Malawi operates in Malawi at the registered address of P/BAG 127, Lilongwe. Malawi, Area 38, Plot number 3 Katete road along Lilongwe By-Pass Road.
OSSEDI Malawi’s work is guided by a Strategic Plan for 2020-2025, with the 2026-2031 plan currently in its final stages of development. Established to strengthen civil society’s active role in Malawi’s social and economic development, the organization prioritizes community empowerment to enhance service delivery quality and support the national development agenda.
